So what does it take to operate a 24-volt air compressor?
In order to run a 24-volt air compressor, the use of a pressure switch and 24V relay are recommended. 24-volt air compressors are not equipped with an ON/OFF switch or pressure sensitive shutoff device. *Please remember they must be used with 24v battery/charging system.
The main differences between a 24-volt and 12-volt compressor are current/amp draw and performance. The biggest advantage of using a 24-volt is its lower amp draw, which means they perform better than the 12-volt compressors.
