If you truly want to see what it takes to be the best in the industry, then I’m sure you know where you’ll be looking. The legendary automotive trade show is back better than ever. SEMA 2022 revs it up into high gear this year. Only those selected may participate and when it comes to customizing their build, you know the top guns are choosing VIAIR as their aesthetically pleasing air compressor. Not only do these vehicle owners want their builds to be slick, but they also trust VIAIR’s durability for the compressors they choose in their setup!
This year we want to showcase some of our favorite picks and give you some insights on what makes their build plus the event so special.
Jordan Canela, 2015 Subaru STI

Jordan Canela (@J_can167), owner of the 2015 Subaru STI, had a lot to say about his experience at SEMA 2022. Whether it’s networking, seeing new products/companies, amazing builds, and having the opportunity to talk about his own featured vehicle, SEMA never seems to disappoint! Building your car from the ground up in preparation for this event is no easy task. Once you’ve finally accomplished your vision, SEMA becomes a dream come true!
What we found to be the most amazing about Jordan’s story was the amount of time he put into this build and event. He started building this vehicle during the pandemic. Once all the parts arrived (we know this was a struggle for many!) for him around November 2021, he started to get things rolling. Jordan shared with us the process behind his build:
“The first part after having the motor seize because of an oil issue was the first big stage of this process. I wanted to build a car that was reliable, but also fun. That’s why we built a car with 700 horsepower so we could do those two things. Next, was suspension and building the right suspension with the idea in mind that we were going to wide body the car. We went with air suspension, so we could protect the body kit on the car and also have something we would enjoy. We went with Air Lift struts and the VIAIR compressors for the air suspension.”
Once everything started to come together, he was finally able to get his build ready for SEMA 2022. Jordan and his team did a Varis livery, added a new wheel, full suede interior, new racing seats, and the brand new VIAIR 480C Dual Pack Stealth Compressors for the air. Check out more of his show-ready vehicle!
Maui Berganio, 2014 Toyota Sienna Se

Third time attendee Maui Berganio (@bergfab_style63) is back and better with his 2014 Toyota Sienna Se. His vehicle featured:
- VIAIR’s 310 SS Dual Performance Value Pack and a 5 gallon tank
- Air Lift V2 Air Management
- AL 13 21×10.5 Wheels
- Air Runner Air Struts
- R1 Concept Big Brake Kit
- HKS GT Supercharger Kit
Maui shared with us more about his experience:
“The SEMA Show is always the best one of the year! As always, VIAIR’s new and quieter compressor did a good job! Luckily I had the good spot and was parked in front of Central Hall. My biggest achievement is to bring my build to SEMA.”
We look forward to see what he will accomplish next year!
Oswaldo Gomez, 2013 Subaru WRX

Oswaldo Gomez (@Ozzieg_wrx) brought his 2013 Subaru WRX, to the SEMA Show. He began building his car back in 2017, and started by upgrading the engine – which now has 1000cc injectors made by Injector Dynamics. The car also features:
- VIAIR’s 310 SS Stealth Series Compressor and VIAIR’s 2.0 gallon air tank
- Air Lift 3P air management

Notable features in this build also include:

Oswaldo made sure his daily driver had to be spot on by time 2022 SEMA came around, and it really was!
Neil Tjin, Ford F-150 Swiss Army Knife

Coming in hot with the Tjin Edition Ford F-150 Lightning, Neil Tjin (@Tjinedition) created an uproar at SEMA this year! What a show, SEMA 2022 took EV tuning to a whole new level. For the 2022 SEMA Show, Tjin Edition teamed up with SEMA Electrified to showcase two of their EV Ford builds; The Tjin Edition Mach-E (last year’s best of Show Ford) and their latest creation the Tjin Edition Ford Lightning. Dubbed the Swiss Army Knife of EV’s, the Lightning features Viair’s all new TLC PRO to help keep the truck and Super73 tires probably inflated. It also features custom Air Lift suspension which was installed and fabricated by Alex from Hoppo’s suspension.
The show was a huge success for Tjin Edition and their partners, and they are already working on some insane builds for 2023, which will be outfitted with more goodies from VIAIR. If you are on the West Coast, make sure to stop by the Ford booth at the LA Auto Show from Nov 18th to the 27th to check out the Tjin Edition Ford Lightning in person!
Jonny Zepeda, 2017 Widebody Camaro 1SS LT1 6.2L Fifty Anniversary Build

First time SEMA Attendee Jonny (@Sphnix_ss) was the talk on social media with his slick 2017 Widebody Camaro 1SS LT1 6.2L Fifty Anniversary Build dubbed “Sphnix”. He debuted an all new wrap at this year’s SEMA Show, which was one of the 5 new Gemstone colorways released by Evolv Motor (aka APA America) who was awarded 2022 Best Wrap Color of the Year during the WWWRAP event.
Jonny was placed at the Tirestickers’ booth in Lower South Hall Booth which really brought a lot of attention to Sphnix. Many enthusiasts eyed the Sphnix’s features, which included our 444C Dual Performance Value Pack, the chassis mounted wing by Battle Aero, the crazy aero 1 of 1 by KNG Engineering, butterfly doors by Vertical Doors, and of course the reason he was placed at their booth custom tire stickers by Tirestickers.
Overall, Jonny shared that the experience is like no other and is the best if you attend. It was was hands down the best show he’s ever been to and he will be definitely be returning next year. Hopefully representing new sponsors to build more future relationships and we look forward to seeing what he gets up to next!
