Easter Jeep Safari began last Saturday, bringing wheelers in from around the world to this unique 9-day event. This premiere 4×4 event consists mostly of daylong trail riding trips departing out of Moab, Utah. The event host, Red Rock 4-Wheelers Inc., is one of the local four-wheel drive clubs located in Moab. With as many as 1,000 registered off-roaders, participants relish the opportunity to climb the picturesque backdrop Utah has to offer.

Many in the off-road community would agree that Moab is known as the mecca of four-wheeling. The experience provides trails for every type of vehicle, including 2-wheel drive accessible options. However, the most difficult runs require seriously modified vehicles as the many risk the possibility of have parts breaking and/or body damage to their vehicle.

Activities at Easter Jeep Safari
The event isn’t exclusive to Jeeps – but to any four-wheel vehicle, as long as they contain high ground clearance and a 2-speed transfer case. Participants usually have their adventures planned ahead. Once they bring their four-wheel drive vehicle, they’re able to explore multiple trails available at the time of the event, starting with check-in at the famed Spanish Trail Arena. The experienced members assist with spotting and provide trail runners to lead the way. With over 30 different trails available, Red Rock 4-Wheelers, Inc runs around 9 different locations every day with “Big Saturday” holding down the largest-ever single trail ride.

Jeep Debuts Custom-Built Concept Vehicles
With Jeep vehicles dominating the trails at the event, it’s no surprise that Jeep would have a strong presence there, too. Jeep debuted their new 2018 custom-built concept vehicles, ranging from retro-inspired to beach buggies. Noteworthy models include the Jeep Wagoneer Roadtrip, which highlights historical designs of Jeep’s original concepts with a massively modified chassis and five inches added to the wheelbase. The Jeep 4Speed is super lightweight and designed to combine an all-new turbocharged 1-4 engine with the off-road capability of a ‘wrangler’. Our favorite is the Jeep Jeepster, combining off-road functionality with premium features, throwing back to the styling of 60’s with a two-tone body and hard-shell top.
JeepFreeks features VIAIR
Travis Daines, founder of the popular online Jeeping community, JeepFreeks, attended this year’s Easter Jeep Safari to feature his NEW VIAIR Stealth Black Dual 444C Onboard Air Kit! Stationed in the BF Goodrich Tires Garage, JeepFreeks performed live demonstrations of how to check tire pressure and air up/down tires using the VIAIR OBA, which can be seen below. VIAIR is one of the only makers of the full Onboard Air kits, which includes all parts and components needed to install the kit – including compressor(s), air tank, fittings, pressure switch, relay(s), electrical connectors, and all applicable accessories.
Your tires are the key to get there and back, VIAIR is an efficient and effective tool to take care of your tires. Every person that uses my OBA is impressed with the speed you can air back up or reseat a tire bead.

JeepFreeks: How It all Began
Travis began JeepFreeks back in October 2012 after visiting Moab on a family trip. He grew up around Jeeps since he was 4 months old; that, paired with his 4×4 experiences in Utah, inspired him to create this popular Jeep community that has grown to over 1 million followers on Facebook and 230K on Instagram. The JeepFreeks motto is to uphold values in the Jeep community, to be positive, helpful, and respectful. On the trails, Jeepers lend a helping hand to make sure everyone gets through safely. It’s this type of helping hand community that makes attending Easter Jeep Safari so great!

Stay tuned for more of JeepFreeks adventures and their experience at Easter Jeep Safari by following their Facebook page here.
