Wekfest USA is one of Southern California’s premier aftermarket import events. This weekend, we attended their Long Beach show down by the waterfront overlooking the Queen Mary. What started as a simple get together for auto enthusiasts alike in a small parking garage in San Francisco in 2009 has since grown into its eighth year spanning 9 cities, domestic and abroad.
Wekfest’s message is simple: make each exhibiting vehicle and vendor the focus of the show and create an enthusiast environment everyone can enjoy and share their passions together.
The beginning of summer brought over 7,500 local and international attendees and 400 feature vehicles this year. We can’t think of a better way to kick off a long weekend than with this Socal event! The turnout definitely exceeded expectation, with over 50 unique awards including Car of the Festival (Best of Show), Lifestyle Achievement Award and Nostalgic Car of the Festival (Pre-90’s). Each vehicle features European, Japanese and Domestic aftermarket parts with spectators traveling from all over to take in the views and hangout.
The Queen Mary overlooked the beautiful Long Beach harbor, a great plus for the car show. Sunny with slight moments of cloud cover welcomed a solid show attendance. Notable vendors included: Airrex Digital Air Suspension, Air Lift Performance, Auto Fashion, Mode Parfume, LTMW and much more. There was a variety of styles and vehicles on display, ranging from exotic super cars on air suspension, to wide bodies, to VIP style vehicles and JDM spec cars. Overlooking the show grounds, Viair compressors were definitely the number one choice for air suspension!
As always, this show is top notch with quality vendors, vehicles and just good ol’ fun in the sun! We were excited to see the aftermarket automotive scene thriving and we look forward to attending Wekfest again in 2018!
