When the spring season kicks off, the 22nd annual Forbidden Fantasy Show N’ Shine in in full effect! Located along the West’s most famous river, the Colorado River, this desirable show is hosted by the Forbidden Fantasy Car & Truck Club at the AVI Resort Hotel & Casino in Laughlin, Nevada.
For the past 22 years, Brian Goude and the Forbidden Fantasy team have been involved with the shows promotion and event planning of this enticing event. This show has taken the custom automobile industry by storm since its original location in Perris, CA. Attendees from around the country flock to this exotic destination for relaxation in the desert and a unique show for all to enjoy!
The specifics of this show are more selective than most based on the type of vehicles they allow. They focus on quality over quantity to bring a “mini SEMA show” atmosphere to the Southwest. Although they mostly cater to mini trucks, full size, classic cars and lifted trucks are allowed to display as well. Completed show quality vehicles are air’d out on the grassy area facing the Colorado River, while unfinished vehicles park in the under construction zone along with vendor booths in the adjoining show grounds. Guests of the hotel are free to view this show, as it is open to the public with option to tie up your boat at the dock for a river cruise in-between displays.
Ultrasoundz’ Car Audio & Customz’ represented VIAIR as an authorized air suspension dealer at the Forbidden show again this year! With more than 20 years of custom sound audio and air suspension installs, this Barstow, CA-based shop, has been around since 1997. Since then, Ultrasoundz’ Car Audio & Customz’ has grown to a shop with locations in Las Vegas, NV and Kingman, AZ. Ultrasoundz’ focuses on builds that range from 1930’s restorations to current model builds. The owner, Shane Wilder, has a unique Camaro featuring Lamborghini-style doors that has been running dual VIAIR 444C compressors for over 3 years. Beginning with the dual VIAIR 380’s, he has since upgraded to the dual 444’s due to the faster performance and has never looked back. Ultrasoundz’ ability to put together sound systems and show vehicles has surpassed what most would consider mediocre. Although the Forbidden Fantasy show is known for its windy weather, that didn’t take away from the crowded fans assembling around these top-notch builds! Builder competition and popularity keep bringing guests back in droves each year. A few car clubs who were featured at this year’s show include: Forbidden Fantasy, Severed Ties, Freaks of Nature, Seductive, Layd II Rest, Sunset, Unforgiven, Redemption, No Regrets, Negative Camber, Acrophobia, Aftermath and Relaxed Atmosphere.
