Each year top-quality builders and enthusiasts flock to Conroe, Texas to attend the world’s best truck show, Lone Star Throwdown (LST)! Air suspension fanatics fawn over the 2,000 custom and unique builds on display. LST had humble beginnings with just 600 vehicles in 2012, but has now grown to a show with over 30,000 attendees from across the world. Show organizers Lonnie Ford, Todd Hendrex, Jarrod Dunahoo and Phil Cholette work tirelessly to outshine performances from the year prior.

Vehicles competing for the prestigious “Best of Show!” top award range from bagged mini and full-size trucks to lifted off-road builds and everything in-between. The special layout of this show allows attendees to accentuate their latest display by cruising their vehicles on the winding path around the entirety of the grounds.

Mike Barcia’s VIAIR equipped C3500 Chevrolet Dually won the coveted award “Best of Show!” This 1996 custom-built feature flaunts (4) NEW Gen. 2 VIAIR 485C compressors in Platinum which are boldly displayed in the trunk to easily air up and down his heavy rig. This showstopper has previously exhibited at The SEMA Show in Las Vegas and was well deserving of the 4 foot, 44-pound trophy known as “BAE 4.0.” The one-of-a-kind custom-built trophy base is 1.25” thick, 12” wide and 16” long! The elements are manufactured entirely of aluminum, stainless hardware, red and clear anodize with 70 individual pieces held together with 98 screws.

This year we ran a giveaway for our enthusiasts on social media as a way to give back to our fans! The winner of the 2020 LST giveaway who will receive a 485C Gen. 2 Dual Pack is Andrew W. with his build “UglyC10” based out of Baltimore, Maryland. Andrew drove 21 hours with his father to display at Lone Star Throwdown and was met by show promoter Jarrod with a VIAIR banner for display! This build is an ongoing 14-year project featuring a nostalgic camper shell to complete the look.

Customers were excited to pick up the NEW VIAIR Gen. 2 485C Dual Pack with 100% duty cycle at 200 PSI. Each year, numerous vendors support this impressive show. Popular brands such as Our Lifestyle Podcast, Mini Truckin Takeover, GrinderTV, Kustom Life, Drop Em Wear Clothing, Hammerd Weekend Wear, Mad Gear Apparel, Solo Films DVD, C10 Talk, C10 Nation, and Slosh Tubz exhibited at LST 2020. Some of the more prominent car clubs with vehicles represented at the show were: Severed Ties, Relaxed Atmosphere, Forbidden Fantasy, Acrophobia, Negative Camber, Freaks of Nature, Sunset, Vertically Challenged, and Suicide Slabs.
