With the rise of Overlanding, the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X, is Overland Expo’s vision of the ultimate overland vehicle. It was chosen for its 6.2.-liter V8 engine, comfortability, and a four-wheel drive system with front and rear electronically locking differentials. Its Multimatic DSSV spool-valve suspension dampers allows smooth rides on and off road. The vehicle offers many potential upgrade opportunities to have it ready for any overland journey.
The Overland Expo’s Ultimate Vehicle Build is equipped with VIAIR’s Adventure Series – Overlanding Expedition High Pressure Onboard Air System. After deflating the tires, the onboard air system will quickly re-inflate the tires to desired tire pressure. It is also used for inflating the air suspension mounted on the rear axle for load leveling.
The Expedition High-Pressure OBA operates at 200PSI from a 2.5-gallon tank. It’s powered by a 100% duty 444C air compressor. Apart from fast tire inflation rates on tires up to 37”, this performance combo allows you to run air tools, pop beads, setup inflatables, and a whole array of pneumatic tasks including air lockers and load levelers. The system can be monitored and activated from the driver’s seat using the dash panel gauge, crouch-free tire inflation is made possible via a 40” hose with digital tire gun combo, and a blowgun gets all cleaning tasks done.

Other build gear includes a roof rack, tool kits, ground tent, wheels, outdoor camp kitchen, air bags, batteries, cell booster, lighting, tires, radio, exhaust, awning, traction boards, recovery kits, and much more. All components were expertly installed by MULE Expedition Outfitters.
Overland Expo’s Ultimate Vehicle Build will be at all of the remaining 2022 Overland Expo events while conquering trails along its journey including the McGrew Trail, MaGruder Corridor, and White Rim Road. The Ultimate Overland Vehicle will be auctioned off on Bring a Trailer with its proceeds going to the Overland Expo Foundation at the end of its show season.
